NEW 1551V sensor enclosures for IoT

The New 1551V series from Hammond offers miniature ventilated sensor enclosures that are designed to house sensors & small sub-systems in the manufacturing environment as part of IoT systems.

Whilst there is no set international standard, the 1551V enclosures are designed around the PCB sizes selected by leading sensor manufacturers for the latest generation of sensors.

1551V series ABS UL94-HB enclosures are available in black, grey and white as standard. With 4 sizes available 80 x 80, 80 x 40, 60 x 60 and 40 x 40mm and all 20mm high, maximum PCB sizes are 74 x74, 74 x 34, 54 x 54 and 34 x 34mm respectively, with four PCB mounts moulded into the base, the 20mm height allows space for board-mounted RJ45, USB & other standard interfaces.

The snap-fit closure simplifies access and allows for repeated opening and closing without tools or screws, featuring ventilation slots on all four vertical faces & mounting slots with a 15mm cable knock out in the base.

As active components can produce large amounts radiated heat, the 1551V provides for excellent airflow & cooling.

Environmental sensors monitoring temperature, humidity and pressure are widely installed in IoT applications, with increasingly intelligent sub-systems, data processing and communications embedded on small PCB's.
